Hello Fellow Entrepreneurs!!!,
The below textual data contains a lot of very important information. For those of you that
have spent a lot of time promoting sites already, most of this probably won't be news to
you. But for you who are brand new to the promotion arena, I highly recommend that you
read it. It would be a good review for anyone, for that matter!
The topics to be covered include:
- Why Promote?
- Instant Traffic... or Not
- How Much To Expect
- Quality Traffic
Why promote ?
Why do you want to promote your site? So that you can get visitors to your web site, of
course! That is the whole point of it. More visitors should equal more sales. More sales
normally equals more money.
That's just simple math. If you don't promote your site, it will become like a
forgotten... thing. Wait a second, how can something be forgotten if it was never even
thought about in the first place?
Instant traffic... or not
Let me make one thing clear right now. A web site won't get you instant traffic. You heard
right. You won't get people flocking to your site as soon as you submit to the search
engines, submit posts to discussion lists, and all that. No, you may not see instant gains
from it. But I can assure you, if you follow some key points and tricks, you will see some
very good long term gains in traffic, and you will have many more visitors to your site
every day than you do now.
The initial promotion effort is the hardest. There are search engines to submit to, banner
exchanges to sign up for, signature files to make, and more. Don't worry if you don't know
what any of those things are, Value Hits is present for it. But the point is, it isn't
this hard forever. You see, there is this hill. This hill is a promotion hill. Once you
get to the top of the hill, it's basically downhill from there! Value Hits is a good
example. We have spent hours promoting it every week. Now, we hardly have to do anything
to promote it, and there is considerable amount of traffic coming through the site every
day.
Why is that? Because those initial visitors that we got to visit the site told all their
friends. And they told their friends. And so on, and so on,until or traffic slowly built
up. That's called word of mouth advertising - it's one on the best ways to promote your
site!
How much to expect ?
Okay, now that we have probably lashed all your expectations into the ground, we need to
talk about exactly how much traffic you can expect after our services.
It is an interesting asumption, though because every site is completely different. It
really depends on how targeted an audience you have.
Let us explain it better. Let's say you have a website about raising and selling beetles.
I'll bet it's a fascinating subject. But the point is that not many people will be
interested in reading about raising and selling beetles. It's just not a popular subject,
for some reason. Then, take a website about video games. It may be a wild shot in the
dark, but I would bet that more people are interested in going to a website on the
Subject of video games than one on a subject of raising and selling beetles. The smaller
the market there is out there, the less people you will get to your site.
HOWEVER, the goal of your site shouldn't be to just get masses of people to your site. The
goal of your site should be to get people to BUY YOUR PRODUCT or AVAIL OF YOUR SERVICE.
Quality traffic
The goal of your site shouldn't be to just get masses of people to your site. The goal of
your site should be to get people to BUY YOUR PRODUCT or AVAIL OF YOUR SERIVICE. It's true
though. There is no point in getting people whose sole love in life is raising and selling
beetles to come to your page about window washing, for example. You need to target the
right people. That sounds simple, but everything is harder than it sounds. It means that
you will have to find sites on a similar subject to yours, and ask for a reciprocal link.
It means that you will have to optimize the keywords for your specific subject, and not
just use keywords that will get you the most traffic. You want to bring to your site the
types of people that are prepared to BUY. Or, if your site is trying to sell advertising,
the type of people that are willing to stick around after the main page has loaded. It's
just something to keep in mind as you promote your site. Don't try to just get anyone to
your site. Use your marketing efforts where it's worth while, and get the traffic that
counts.
We at Value Hits are primarily engaged in trying to brings Qualtiy traffic to your site
and not only hits.
Thank you for your time.
