The net allows a small company to compete in the global environment just as effectively as a large one. It is important for companies to start looking at the net as an opportunity to straighten their business & companies that start early will be the biggest beneficiaries.

So as of now a company's web site launch is meant only for local journalist. Once the initial euphoria is over there is far more important business to attend to.

A web site is no street hoarding

Even many of those who have put a site seem to carry an impression that the site will sell itself. A company puts up an impressive web site on the internet.

Does that automatically mean that visitors will start flooding the site? If we go by what many companies have done they seem to think so, Unfortunately a web site is not a hoarding. Once up it does not automaticly gets to be seen. The traffic has to be brought to it. With tens of thousands of web sites clamouring for surfers attention this is no easy task.

The #1 question we hear from business owners is: "We've spent a packet on our web presence. Why are people not coming to see us?" The answer is simple. They have NO idea you even exist!
"What!!", you say. "We've got more bells and whistles on our site than a group of Morris dancers prancing at the county fair. What's more, the designers we hired were the most expensive we could find and, you betcha, we've submitted to 1001 search engines - twice!"

That's very nice, but here's your wake-up call. Without implementing a few simple, yet essential, codes and tricks to support your super-duper web presence, you're waiting for a busload of phantom customers.

Attracting visitors to your website is the ultimate goal of every site owner out there, millions of websites all fighting for the same visitors.

Many websites fail to attract visitors, not because of the sites content, but because the site owners have failed to promote the site. We often refer to the Internet as being similar to a vast library with millions upon millions of books (websites), now imagine trying to find one book that was not indexed (search engines) or promoted (search engines and links) at all, that's exactly what many website owners do.
