mobile app marketing | 8 June 2017

Every business dreams of developing an app and marketing it to rank on the top on the Google Play Store and other app downloading platforms. But it takes a lot of time, efforts and ideas to build that perfect strategy, which can work wonders for your business. This can’t be done overnight. Although you need to take your own time, you can complement your mobile app marketing with social media and get the most out of it.

Cut out those traditional ways of promoting your app and go creative with social media as you can do it without worrying much about budget or resource. Let’s take a look at some of the things that can help you with your app marketing.

Plan Ahead

Of course, the first thing you need to do is plan and get things straight of what you are about to do. Sit with your team and brainstorm ideas and think of things that you can do for promotion. But don’t use the old school techniques. The fresher the content the more engagement you’ll get. Although some traditional approaches still work, you need to make sure you add the right thing to your strategy. Firstly, you need to keep in mind that the market is very competitive and you need to match pace with the latest trends to keep your business ahead of everyone.

Create Niche Content

Like I mentioned, you need to create something creative that eye-catchy and engaging, which can drive your customers to download your app. If you are promoting a fashion brand, make sure to promote content that will keep your audience engaged. Adding videos can add more value to your app marketing strategy as audience spend more time watching video than on any other content.

Make Your Promotion Friendlier

This means that make your updates have a human tone rather than tailored marketing approach. Don’t keep posting for the sake of it. Make the images, videos or whatever content you share more friendly such as you can share some funny or cool videos that are more likely to grab attention.

Share Content On Every Social Profiles

Sharing content on social doesn’t mean only sharing on Facebook but other social profiles as well such as Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, etc. Other social profiles are often underestimated while Facebook is given more priority, but the fact is everything needs to work in sync. You should promote your app on every social media channel to get more exposure, plus this will also help you with your SEO.

Ask Your Users To Share Your Content

The most important of all is to get your audience to Like and Share your content, also subscribe to your page. For instance, if you have a YouTube channel, you can share some interesting content and promote your app through the platform. Don’t forget to mention the Call-to-Action button so that your users know where they need to go.
